La cantautora americana Tori Sparks lleva Nashville a Barcelona, con un concierto en el formato "in the round" en la Sala Fizz. Entradas anticipadas ya a la venta.
Este tipo de concierto, típico de Music City pero casi totalmente desconocido en Barcelona, es cuando tres cantautores - a veces amigos y colaboradores, a veces desconocidos - suben juntos al escenario y ofrecen temas propios en acústico. Es el formato más básico, más expuesto, mas desnudo posible para un artista: Solo o sola con su instrumento y su voz.
Colaboraciones espontáneas, la participación del público, la historia detrás de la canción, estrenos de temas recién nacidos... en estos conciertos puede pasar cualquier cosa. Es una oportunidad para escuchar a tus artistas favoritos compartir su música en un ambiente íntimo, y a la vez descubrir otros artistas talentosos. Prepárate para una experiencia de música en directo muy especial.
TORI SPARKS (Rock/Blues/Country)
Tori Sparks nació en la ciudad del blues, Chicago, y luego vivía en la capital de la música country, Nashville. Desde sus 18 años, ha tocado un promedio de 150-200 conciertos cada añoen mas que 20 países. Sola o con banda, Tori es una fuerza de naturaleza en el escenario: Sigue la línea entre lo conmovedor y lo cómico, combinando el humor irónico “stand-up” con energía sin límite.
En 2011, Tori Sparks se trasladó de Nashville a Barcelona, y en pocos años ha dejado su huella en su país adoptivo. El quinto álbum de Sparks, El Mar(2014), y el sexto, La Huerta(2017), fueron colaboraciones con el trío de flamenco fusión barcelonés, Calamento, y el guitarrista El Rubio. Aunque el proyecto bilingüe comenzó como un proyecto casero, se convirtió en un éxito internacional, llamado "valiente, arriesgado " (Rolling Stone) y "arte puro" (Los Conciertos de Radio3).
El 14 de septiembre de 2018, Tori y sus colaboradores presentaron un concierto que fue grabada en directo en la sala Luz de Gas. El álbum -- titulado Wait No More-- será el séptimo disco de Tori y su primero en directo. Se lanzará en vinilo en edición limitada para el Record Store Day 2019.

JONATHAN HERRERO (Blues/Soul)
Jonathan Herrero "El Kujo" (Vitoria-Gasteiz 1980) es miembro fundador de la banda barcelonesa A Contra Blues, con la cual ha actuado en numerosos festivales y salas de España y Europa obteniendo diversos galardones, entre ellos el de campeones del European Blues Challenge 2014.
Durante casi 20 años de andadura sobre los escenarios, ha participado en multitud de proyectos musicales de los más diversos estilos. En la actualidad, paralelamente a su actividad con A Contra Blues participa en las bandas The Ramblers y Cita a Ciegas.
Jonathan es conocido por su presencia potente en el escenario, y por su voz bluesero inimitable que te pondrá la piel de gallina. Sin duda es una de las voces mas reconocibles y queridas del país. Aunque suele actuar con banda, esta vez nos presenta temas propios de sus varios proyectos en acústico.

ENRIC EZ (Folk/Cantautor)
Músico y cantautor Catalán Enric EZ ha participado como bajista, guitarrista o director musical en bandas tal y como Se Atormenta una Vecina, Fundación Tony Manero, Estanislau Verdet, Izah, A Ciegas, Micu, Big Mama, Roger Puig, Marina Babyface, y Fulanos, entre otros, a lo largo de su trayectoria de más de 10 años.
Ahora coge las riendas y se pone al frente con sus instrumentos, un micro i el primer álbum en solitario Som r i u s.Un disco sincero, donde con elegancia y detallismo se define su universo personal. Una música que mezcla varios estilos, dispuesta siempre a entregarse y llena de buenas vibraciones, expresadas desde un intimismo que, a menudo, explota en un renacimiento casi primaveral.
En el directo en solitario Enric EZ combina los diferentes instrumentos de cuerda y de percusión formando así su propia banda para presentar las canciones del disco.

This style of show is typical of Music City, butis almost completely unknown in Barcelona. Three singer-songwriters -- sometimes friends and collaborators, sometimes strangers --take the stage together and trade off playing their original material. It is the most stripped-down, raw, intimate format possible for an artist: Alone, presenting his or her music with just one acoustic instrument and voice.
Spontaneous collaborations, audience participation, the story behind the song, premieres of new songs... in these concerts pretty much anything anything can happen. It’s an opportunity to hear your favorite artists share their music in an intimate setting, while discovering other talented artists you’d never heard of before. Tori Sparks was born in the city of the Blues, Chicago, and then lived in Country music capital, Nashville. Since she was 18, Sparks has played an average of 150-200 concerts every year in 20+ countries. Alone or with a band, Tori is a force of nature on stage: She walks the line between heartwrenching and hilarious, combining ironic humor "stand-up" style humor with energy that just won’t quit.
In 2011, Tori Sparks moved from Nashville to Barcelona, and in just a few years has left her mark on her adopted country. Sparks' fifth album, El Mar(2014), and her sixth, La Huerta(2017), were collaborations with flamenco fusion trio Calamento, and guitarist El Rubio. Although the bilingual project started small, it became an international success, called "brave, pushing the envelope" (Rolling Stone) and "pure art" (Los Conciertos de Radio3).
On September 14, 2018, Tori and her musical collaborators presented a concert that was recorded live in Luz de Gas. The upcoming album -- titled Wait No More-- will be Tori's seventh album and her first recorded live. It will be released on limited edition vinyl in honor of Record Store Day 2019.

JONATHAN HERRERO (Blues / Soul)

Jonathan is known for his powerful presence on stage, and his inimitable blues voice that will give you goose bumps. Without a doubt, it is one of the most recognizable and loved voices in the country. Although he usually plays with a band, this time he presents us with acoustic versions of songs from his various projects.

Catalan cusician and singer-songwriter Enric EZ has been as a bassist, guitarist or musical director in bands such as Se Atormenta una Vecina, Tony Manero Foundation, Estanislau Verdet, Izah, A Blind, Micu, Big Mama, Roger Puig, Marina Babyface, and Fulanos, among others, throughout his trajectory of more than ten years.
This year he grabbed the reins of his own creative project, using just himself, his instruments, and a microphone to créate his first solo album Som r i u s. Enric’s music blends several styles, and is full of good vibrations and light. A frank and intimate album, the songs weave a microcosm of life experiences in twelve songs.
In a live setting, Enric EZ combines different string and percussion instruments, thus forming his own one-man-band to present the songs of his new album.
