NEWS! 📢❗️ Hello, Tori here. When we were in Madrid in 2019 for the live presentation of our album ‘Wait No More,’ I had a meeting with the people at the B Travel headquarters about the possibility of a collaboration with their company, and offer a kind of customized travel experience exploring the cities of Nashville, Memphis, and New Orleans, exploring the roots of American music, and sharing the fascinating — sometimes surprising — stories behind blues, jazz, country, gospel, rock, and beyond. 🎸✈️

These B Travel “Xperiences” offer people the opportunity to travel alongside an expert in their field, whether they’re accompanying an archaeologist into the depths of a dig in Egypt, or learning about microbiology with a scientist on a ship to Antarctica. 🌎

Six years and lots of planning later — there was a tiny pandemic in the middle that delayed things 😅 — we're finally ready to announce the trip! For 9 days, we’ll be exploring the heart of these three magical cities, visiting places like Congo Square in New Orleans (quite literally the place where the blues was born! 💙) and the French Quarter, famous blues clubs in Memphis where artists like Elvis and BB King performed, the historic songwriter clubs in Nashville where people like Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson 🤠 and so many more performed as young artists, the crossroads where Robert Johnson supposedly sold his soul to the devil 😈🎵 Clarksdale, Natchez and other stops along the way.

There will also be a Spanish-speaking tour guide along for the ride. 🤘🏼 (Not me — I’m there to talk about the music! He or she will be there to explain other interesting tidbits and make sure the trip goes smoothly.)  I’ve given talks and shared these stories many times at schools, universities, and music conferences, but this is something that promises to be completely different. And as I haven’t been back to these lovely cities in years, I’m especially looking forward to it! 😃

On the B Travel website is a complete itinerary, if you click on each individual day listed. 🧳📝 The trip fee includes the international flights, airport fees, accommodation and breakfast in 3- and 4-star hotels ⭐️ travel by private bus 🚌 and entrance fees and visits described in the itinerary — places like the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Ryman Auditorium 🎶 the infamous RCA Studio B, the Johnny Cash Museum, Sun Studios, a river boat trip through the swamps of New Orleans 🐊 — the Spanish-speaking guide and tips for him or her, and travel insurance.

This is NOT a typical "touristy” trip. We’ve worked hard to make it something special, a unique experience packed with incredible music, great Southern cooking 🍗 local legends, history, and adventures that you won’t find anywhere else. And of course, we’ll be checking out live concerts while we’re there! 🎸🤩

By the way... it costs money to cross the pond. 🤷‍♀️ I know. But  the same trip would cost almost three times as much if you were to organize it on your own — I know because I've done it more than once. So this trip is also an opportunity in that sense. Is it cheap? No. Is it worth it? Yes. ❤️

También contaremos con un guía turístico hispanohablante. 🤘🏼 (No soy yo — estoy allí para hablar de música! Él o ella estará allí para explicar otros detalles interesantes y asegurarse de que el viaje transcurra sin problemas). He dado charlas y compartido estas historias muchas veces en escuelas, universidades y congresos musicales, pero esto promete ser completamente diferente. Y como no he vuelto a estas encantadoras ciudades en años, tengo muchísimas ganas! 😃

Entonces, este viaje también es una oportunidad en este sentido. Es barato? No. Vale la pena? Yes, y cien por cien. ❤️
